Voting day: It’s finally here.

After 78 days in what will be a historic election that has been watched internationally, the day has come: Canadians will learn who will represent them in the House of Commons. Since Confederation voter turnout in Canada has been low. According to CBC, Elections Canada is expecting a large voter turnout. 3.6 million Canadians voted in advance polls. Polls have closed in some parts of Eastern Canada. So who will lead Canada?
Wynne and Tory. Will put aside differences, work together, and move Ontario and Toronto forward

Kathleen Wynne and John Tory. Once upon a time they were political opponents. John Tory, a conservative, Kathleen Wynne a Liberal, both battling for Ontario. But now they both have a post at the top and if they want the people to like them and a contract extension they’ll have to work together. But can they?
Elector apathy growing; Political how shrinking

According to Elections Ontario voter turnout has been steadily declining. On June 9 CBC reported that Elections Ontario reported a 6% drop in turnout for advance polls. Compared to 603,785 electors for advanced polls and a total of in 48% in 2011, only 566,845 Ontarians voted in 2014 advance polls. Why? Because they don’t know what to expect from leaders.
