Today Alessandro (Sandro) Lisi, age 35, friend and driver of Toronto Mayor Rob Ford who has been charged with trafficking and possession of marijuana was released on bail.  One of his conditions: “Make efforts to find full-time employment or education”.  But why is this condition enforced on him; shouldn’t he have already completed an education and found a job?

Dear Diary,

I can’t believe it!  I’m finally at YORK! And it’s AMAZING!

I can’t get stop thinking about how I haven’t seen mom for over a month!  It’s like heaven!  No one nagging me about clothes on my floor, or to my laundry or to do my homework, or to even take a bath.  I’ve been taking showers (every other day, not every day). Continue reading

So you were at Clubs Day for Yorkfest on September 18 and got free give-ways?  Nothing topped The YFS Liberation of a Generation in a bag – including a folding clipboard holding coupons, a single serving Rubicon Passion Fruit and Mango juice agenda, free T-shirt and more. The only thing that came close was the Toronto Star Campus Survival Pack – Krave, Axe Chicken Alfredo, Frost mints, Nivea Lip care, Dentyne, and coupons.

Then there were the banks – offering give-ways while advertising student accounts. So which of the Yorkfest Banks has the best student account for a York student? Continue reading
