A rallying cry from sports that Canadians use

Sports are a strong part of culture and society today. They are a part of culture – how a group of people identify themselves, and society – how people relate to each other. Sports can be part of national culture and society – how a country identifies itself and how people relate. Although they are part of the same continent, Canada, USA, and Mexico have different national sports. Canada has used it’s national sport – the cultural sport that people of the country identify with and the societal sport, the sport people use to relate to each other. Recently it’s been used to develop a national rallying cry.

More Money for Government and Tax Payer: What Cake to Cut?

Job or earning; what’s more important?

Known across Canada: Ontario Premier Doug Ford.  Less than 1 month after being elected he’s been said to be moving Ontario backwards.  He’s been called a dictator by NDP Leader, MPP Andrea Horwath, leader of the opposition.  Actions of his government include ending the 3-month York University strike and elimination of Cap and Trade of Carbon pollution implemented by the previous government.  Premier Ford has been strongly criticised for removing the Ontario Sex Ed curriculum, changing what was to be taught in September 2018 for what was taught in 1998.

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau changes to the federal Carbon Tax on July 7 reduces payments on Carbon pollution in companies of different sizes in various industries.  Premier Ford then announced it was taking the federal government to court based on constitutional violation.  Leader of the Green Party, MPP Mike Schreiner says government is interested in spending time in court than saving tax payers’ money and bettering the environment.

Many Words of Donald Trump

Since his entry into the American Republican primaries Donald Trump ignited an interest in American politics.  When Kevin O’Leary entered the Canadian Federal Conservative primary he did the same.  O’Leary’s entrance was restricted to Canada, Trump has become an interest worldwide.  His victory in the primaries was expected by many.  Shocking the world, he upset the election, defeating Hillary Clinton and adding President of the United States to his resume.

Today he is a topic in daily conversations, media, and social media.  He uses Twitter on a regular basis to express his views.  He has also makes controversial remarks considered racist and divisive.  Many consider President Trump to be speaking in a non-presidential manner that divides America.

On 21 August 2017 Donald Trump gave a speech centered on the USA’s strategy in Afghanistan.  It is part of a growing list of behaviour that some call a reformation of Trump.
